It is hard
to say where Kuta ends and Legian begins ... Anyway, Legian
Beach is much quiter and less congested than Kuta. It is
for those who like to be close to the action but not right
in it.
Once
a sparsely populated rice farmers area, some parts of Legian
developed to a dynamic shopping mile in which boutiques,
designer shops and numerous of arts and crafts stores offer
anything you can imagine
. Is your suitcase should be too small, the "problem" will
immediately be solved by one of the international shipment
and mailing services.
The hotels, often called "boutique hotels" are generally
smaller and cheaper compared to other tourist areas of Bali.
There are some recommended mid range until upper class accommodation,
some near the idyllic beach, others on the lanes behind.
The service is generally very warm and friendly. According
to the ideal of balinesese hospitality the service stuff
will arrange virtually everything to insure, that Bali will
remain in your mind as one of the most beautiful holiday
memories.
